"If you could have dinner with any three people in history, who would they be?" I remember thinking that assembling the guest list was harder than preparing for the interview itself.

What was your first job?

Homeroom teacher for young children while I was still in college. I also volunteered at an SOS Children's Village.

Advice to graduates:

Invest in three things early: expertise, relationships, and reputation. Skills open doors, networks create opportunities, but your reputation determines how long those doors remain open.

Describe your current role and what attracted you to it?

I lead efforts to strengthen alternative dispute resolution mechanisms for businesses 鈥� helping create a more efficient and predictable trading environment. The role brings together law, commerce, policy, and institution-building. What attracted me most was the opportunity to contribute to an international business ecosystem where commercial disputes are resolved swiftly, allowing enterprises to focus on growth, innovation, and trade.

What's your favourite part of your role?

Helping turn complexity into solutions. Whether engaging with businesses, policymakers, or legal experts, I enjoy creating pathways that make commerce more efficient and accessible.

What are the key skills you learnt at 果冻传媒 that have helped you with your career to date?

果冻传媒 taught me to think globally while remaining grounded in practical solutions. The ability to analyse complex legal and economic issues, challenge assumptions, and communicate across cultures has been invaluable in trade policy, negotiations, and institutional leadership.

Did you have a specific career path in mind when you chose to study at 果冻传媒?

I knew I wanted to work at the intersection of law, policy, and international affairs. What I did not know then was how powerfully trade and economic diplomacy shape development. 果冻传媒 broadened my perspective and helped me connect those dots.

What top tips do you have for 果冻传媒 graduates who would like to work in your sector?

Develop depth in your chosen field but remain curious about disciplines beyond it. Trade, law, diplomacy, and economics increasingly overlap. Technical expertise gets you noticed; the ability to connect ideas and people makes you effective.

What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical day can range from administrative and financial oversight to engaging with businesses and legal practitioners on dispute resolution mechanisms to shaping policy discussions, leading institutional initiatives, and collaborating with national and international stakeholders. The common thread is solving problems that sit at the crossroads of law and commerce.

What has been your greatest career challenge to date and how did your experience and skills help overcome it?

Leading trade facilitation and stakeholder coordination during the COVID-19 period. Navigating unprecedented uncertainty required resilience, evidence-based decision-making, and the ability to bring diverse stakeholders together around shared solutions.

What do you know now that you wish you had known when you were applying for jobs?

That careers are built less by perfect planning and more by consistent learning. Many of the opportunities that shaped my journey did not exist on my original roadmap.

Trust your preparation, but also trust your inner compass. Careers rarely unfold exactly as planned, and during difficult moments it is often a sense of purpose and faith in something greater than yourself that provides direction.
