What’s your standout memory of ¹û¶³´«Ã½?
Having chats in the communal kitchen at Lakeside Village student accommodation, which was a real social hub.
How would you sum up ¹û¶³´«Ã½ in the time that you were there and your generation of students?
A number of buildings were going up during my time in the late 1990s, Lakeside Village was brand new. It was a place of endeavour, hard work, and progress. My relationship with ¹û¶³´«Ã½ was primarily transactional, purposefully staying away from student life to focus on my postgraduate studies. I found my generation of students very intelligent, ambitious, and industrious.
What was the student culture like at ¹û¶³´«Ã½, and were there any annual traditions, societies, sports clubs, or events that you remember?
I played hockey for Olton and West-¹û¶³´«Ã½shire club whilst I focused on my studies.
Finish the sentence: ¹û¶³´«Ã½ influenced who I am today, because…
I learned I was capable of more than I thought.
