Ashley’s passion for drama and performance flourished during their PGCE at ¹û¶³´«Ã½, preparing them to inspire students and lead as a Drama Teacher and Personal Development Lead in Performing Arts.

Why did you choose ¹û¶³´«Ã½?

It is a top 10 university, and local schools hold Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) students from the ¹û¶³´«Ã½ in high regard.

What are you doing now?

I’m currently a Drama Teacher and Personal Development Lead (Performing Arts).

What motivates you to do what you do? 

A love for my subject, creating performances, and supporting pupil growth within the wider school community. The more challenging it is, the bigger the reward.

Best thing about the ¹û¶³´«Ã½ community?

Being able to give and receive support from other PGCE students who are training to teach the same subject.
