Lecture and Seminar Times
All lectures and seminars will be shown on the Tabula timetables of individual students. This page gives an overview and explanation of the timings of these events.
GENERAL
Each student in this module has one weekly lecture and one weekly seminar.
These events take place during term time, with the exception of reading weeks, when there is no lecture or seminar.
The first lecture/seminar for the module is in term 1, week 1. The last lecture/seminar for the module is in term 3, week 3.

SEMINARS
There are multiple seminar groups spread across the week. Students will be assigned to a seminar group in time for week 1.
LECTURES
Lectures will take place at different times and places in terms 1, 2 and 3.
Term 1 lectures will be in the Oculus building, in Room OC0.03, on Mondays 5-6pm.
Term 2 and 3 lectures will be in the Zeeman building, in Room MS.02, on Tuesdays 6-7pm.

LECTURE OVERFLOW
The following applies to term 1 only, not to terms 2 or 3.
Unfortunately, Room OC0.03 is too small to hold all students taking this module. This will be managed with a mix of virtual lectures, virtual lectures, and extra office hours.
Extra lecture
In week 1 of term 1, the lecture will be given twice: first in the usual time and place on Monday (see above) and again in the XX building, in Room YYY, on Tuesday 10-11am.
In week 1, please attend the usual Monday lecture, not the Tuesday lecture, unless you get an email asking you to attend the Tuesday lecture.
Virtual lectures
For the rest of term 1, each lecture will only be given once. Each lecture will be available virtually as a livestream [link] and a recording [link].
To avoid overcrowding, each student will be assigned one lecture that they will attend virtually rather than in person. A student may do a 'swap' with another student if they are assigned a virtual lecture they really want to attend in person.
Extra office hours
The module convenor will hold an extra office hour on Wednesdays, 11-12pm, for anyone who wants to catch up on the week's lecture. This will be in the convenor's office, Room 3.75 in the Faculty of Arts Building (FAB). No need to make an appointment, just turn up as and when.
This extra office hour will be held in terms 2 and 3 as well as term 1.
