Lecture Blocks Explained
This module is organised into five blocks of lectures. There are two blocks in term 1, two in term 2, and one in term 3.
These blocks are not random collections of topics, but nor are they set in stone. They are a local solution to a common problem, that of organising our knowledge about a rich and contested past.
Historians don't start from scratch. The 'ages' outlined below draw on a range of textbooks and surveys, especially the ones listed in the last section.
