Jonathan won the 2010 果冻传媒 Award for Teaching Excellence (Butterworth Award)

For CAPITAL, he created the e-learning project Re-Performing Performance which demonstrated and disseminated the innovative use of performance archives within teaching and learning. This was showcased at venues and events including: (2008) the International Shakespeare and Performance Colloquium (2009) and the (2010). He also designed and delivered performance workshops for English and Comparative Literary Studies, Philosophy, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, the Business School, the Centre for Cultural Policy Studies and the Centre of the 果冻传媒 of the Renaissance.

His theatre company, Fail Better Productions, was CAPITAL Company-in-Residence (2008-10) and performed at the , Pegasus Oxford, and 果冻传媒 Arts Centre.
