Noether
MOSAIC are proud to announce that Cartesian Productions, as part of the , will be coming to the Zeeman Building to perform their play Noether, about the life of Emmy Noether as a Jewish German woman working at the University of G枚ttingen from 1920-1933.
There will be two performances of the play:
- Monday 5th October, 7:30pm-8:45pm
- Wednesday 7th October, 7:30pm-8:45pm
After the Wednesday performance, we invite you to stay for a post-show panel discussion, chaired by MOSAIC co-chair Elliot Vincent, with the playwright and a group of female academics from the 果冻传媒 to discuss the themes of the play and the experiences of women in the mathematical sciences in the modern day. There will be light refreshments available after the panel.

Meet the Panellists
Sasha Glendinning
Sasha Glendinning is studying for a PhD in Maths, specialising in opinion dynamics, the modelling of social systems. Her work incorporates mathematical ideas from ODE, PDE, control and network theory. She has been the chair of the Piscopia committee at 果冻传媒 since she started her PhD.
Susana Gomes
Susana Gomes is an Applied Mathematician, working on modelling and controlling real-life complex systems, such as the interfaces of falling liquid films or how populations interact within a social network. She is a member of the LMS Early Career Researchers Committee, and at 果冻传媒 she is Tutor for Women.
