As the new academic year approaches, we would like to announce that Professor Mark Newton will hand over the role of Head of Department to Professor Neil Wilson.

Congratulations to Dr Dmitrii Kolotkov who has been announced as the winner of a 果冻传媒 Award for Public and Community Engagement in the Community Impact category.

Dr Ravindra Desai from our Centre for Fusion, Space and Astrophysics joined Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock to discuss space weather and the forecasting tools that Ravi is developing that will help protect us from future risks.
