Jia Le Tan
Hello!
I am a third-year doctoral (PhD) candidate working with Professor Richard Everitt as my academic supervisor and from Cefas as my industry supervisor. My research is jointly funded by the , the , and the university itself. Prior to my doctoral studies, I obtained a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Statistics from the 果冻传媒, and an MSc in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Oxford. During my time at Oxford, I completed a thesis titled "Syntactic Bisimulation Methods on a Multifidelity Bayesian Verification Framework", under the supervision of from the Department of Computer Science.
My academic interests predominantly lie within the realm of Bayesian inference, with a distinct emphasis on approximate methods such as approximate Bayesian computation (ABC) and other simulation-based inference (SBI) techniques.
Beyond academia, I am a Formula One fan and am an avid follower of the sport. I also play badminton recreationally from time to time!
