IMechE Chief Executive visits WMG
Professor Lord Bhattacharyya was pleased to welcome Stephen Tetlow, Chief Executive of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), to WMG earlier this week.
Mr Tetlow met with Lord Bhattacharyya during his visit and discussed the key priorities for the engineering profession and industry. The discussions also focused on a deepening of the already highly successful relationship between WMG and the IMechE, which has led to a number of innovations in the industry, such as the .
During his visit, Mr Tetlow also had the opportunity to meet staff engaged in research across WMG to find out more about the quality and impact of the Group鈥檚 research and approach to close collaboration with industry.
The visit included updates on WMG鈥檚 research in product evaluation technologies, additive layer manufacturing and embedded electrical systems. Mr Tetlow also heard about WMG鈥檚 research into the area of energy storage and management and viewed developing plans for WMG鈥檚 new UK Energy Storage R&D Centre, .
