Digital Engagement Minister Tom Watson today, Tuesday 28th April, visited the WMG Digital Lab at the 果冻传媒 to see how researchers are using virtual reality to help parents of babies cope with feeding problems.

DAVID LAMMY: WMG WORK WILL “TRANSFORM HUMAN EXPERIENCE” Higher Education Minister David Lammy visited WMG at the 果冻传媒 today to see for himself how the Group channels its research and education programmes into developing industrial practice.

WMG researchers at the 果冻传媒 have joined a  team of scientists from universities across the UK to begin work on the project to use the latest advances in virtual reality to enable users to go on safari from the comfort of their own front rooms.

UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown visited WMG at the 果冻传媒 for the third time today (Friday 13 February) as part of a tour of the Midlands.Mr Brown first visited WMG in June 2007 when he unveiled the foundation stone of the Group’s newest building, the International Digital Laboratory. Then in July last year he returned to formally open the building.

A 2000-year-old painted statue is being restored to her original glory by scientists from WMG at the 果冻传媒, the University of Southampton, and the Herculaneum Conservation Project.

A method of producing synthetic bone, using techniques normally used to make catalytic converters for cars, is being developed by researchers at WMG at the 果冻传媒.
