Principal Aims
To enable students to acquire a thorough understanding of modern macroeconomic theory covering some of the most important topics, concepts and methods, along with relevant empirical evidence.

Syllabus
The syllabus may cover, but is not limited to, the following areas:
GDP, AD-AS model, rules versus commitment in central banking, sustainability models, consumption, investment, institutions and geography, nominal rigidities, the 鈥淧hilips curve鈥, monetary policy, inflation and seignorage, rational expectations models, debt sustainability, exchange rates, purchasing power parity, Solow growth model, growth accounting, convergence, overlapping generations model, endogenous growth, income inequality and growth, unified growth theory.
