Law School MSP student Aneesa Khan was awarded a Giving to ¹û¶³´«Ã½ prize last week for Widening Participation work. It is a great achievement and very well deserved given Aneesa's dedication to the Law School and the University's Widening Participation agenda.
“Aneesa gave all day assistance at the Widening Participation Law School Open Day. She gave a presentation about being a student at the Law School for the Careers Evening at Haybridge. She was assisting all day at the Careers Fair at Nine Stiles Academy, where she liaised with parents, students and teachers to promote ¹û¶³´«Ã½ as a university and the Law School specifically. She gave taster sessions for the Law School to widening participation prospective students. She created a student profile promoting ¹û¶³´«Ã½ for the Widening Participation page on the Law School website. Aneesa has assisted staff at numerous careers events. She represented the School at the Law School stand having organised and set up the displays. The feedback from other people was that she was a great ambassador for the law school, clever, enthusiastic, committed and thoughtful.”
Over 60 high-achieving students from departments across the University were awarded Giving to ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Prizes for efforts over the year with criteria including dissertations, overall academic performance, exam marks and overall contribution to departmental life.
