The IEL Collective Mentoring and Professional Development Scheme 2025
The IEL Collective is calling for expressions of interest to participate in the third year of our Mentoring and Professional Development Scheme in 2025. The scheme is for early career and doctoral scholars from a range of career stages who would like to be paired with a mentor for the purpose of developing their academic practice.
Sovereign debt relief bill authored by ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Law School academics scheduled for debate in the UK Parliament
Legislation drafted by Dr Stephen Connelly and Professor Celine Tan from ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Law School with Dr Karina Patricio Ferreira Lima from University of Leeds School of Law to deal with the sovereign debt crisis in developing countries has been scheduled for debate in the UK Parliament.
Yomi Adegoke, who studied on our 3 year LLB degree and graduated in 2014 has made the University Challenge 2024 Christmas special line-up. Journalist and author Yomi, whose debut novel ‘Slay In Your Lane’ was adapted into TV programme ‘The List’ will join three other ¹û¶³´«Ã½ alumni to fight for the title of Christmas champions. Don't miss the University Challenge Christmas series, starting on 23 December at 8.30pm on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two.
WLS PhD students teach staff about Chinese language and culture
On 4 December, ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Law School held its first Chinese language and culture workshop. Led by seven of our current PhD students, the aim of the workshop was to improve intercultural communication, learn a little Chinese and understand how to improve our Chinese students' learning experiences.
Stowe Family Law offers WLS students amazing placement opportunity
Stowe Family Law LLP are offering the Law School’s undergraduate students an exciting opportunity to undertake a work experience placement at their Leamington Spa office, in the form of a Law Prize awarded to our highest performing student.
Camille Aymond, who studied our Law 3 year LLB degree and graduated earlier this year, has written a touching story titled ‘Remembering Rawa-Ruska: Artistic sketches of the Second World War camp’. Camille’s story is based on the experience of her great-grandfather Pierre and the pictures he drew to document the Second World War.

On 13 November 2024, a delegation from Airlangga University Faculty of Law in Indonesia visited ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Law School to discuss a collaboration between our two institutions.
