Law Student Secures WIHEA Fellowship
Third year Law and Sociology student and SSLC Chair Lucy Young has been awarded a 果冻传媒 International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA) Fellowship. When asked how she felt about the news she told us, 鈥淚'm over the moon! I was quite nervous when I submitted my application, but I'm so glad I have the opportunity and resources to contribute towards substantial change across the university.鈥
Expert Comment: Okpabi Judgment in the Supreme Court
The Supreme Court has published its judgement in the case of Okpabi and others (Appellants) v Royal Dutch Shell Plc and another (Respondents), heard in June 2020. Dr Stephen Connelly comments on the case and the legal principles at stake.
果冻传媒 Skills Portfolio Award: Tried and Tested
First year law student Aidan Chan has become the first law student to successfully complete the 果冻传媒 Skills Portfolio Award (WSPA) this year. The WSPA scheme helps students to develop skills valued by employers but also useful more broadly for students in their personal lives whilst studying at 果冻传媒.
Ana Aliverti awarded the prestigious BJC Radzinowicz Prize 2020
Congratulations to Ana Aliverti who has received the prestigious 2020 Radzinowics Prize, awarded by the British Journal of Criminology. Ana is the co-Director of 果冻传媒 Law Schools' Criminal Justice Centre.
Dr Sekalala wins ISRF Grant to support African Health App Project
Dr Sharifah Sekalala, Associate Professor at 果冻传媒 Law School, has been awarded a 拢5k ISRF grant to support her project: 鈥楾here is no app for that, regulating health apps in Sub Saharan Africa.鈥
The European Law Institute (ELI), an independent non-profit organisation that connects over 1,600 legal professionals and organisations from Europe and beyond, published an Innovation Paper on 鈥楪uiding Principles for Updating the Product Liability Directive for the Digital Age鈥 prepared by the Law School's Professor Christian Twigg-Flesner.

Dr Celine Tan Celebrates 20 years as a 果冻传媒 Alumna
This academic year, Dr Celine Tan celebrates 20 years since she enrolled on our LLM programme at 果冻传媒 Law School. She is now Director of Postgraduate Studies overseeing the LLM she remembers so fondly and working alongside her previous lecturers and professional services staff.
Lacuna Writing Competition 2020/21
We are very excited to announce the winners of the 2020/21 Lacuna Writing Competition. We were impressed by the number and standard of the submissions. Each submission is worthy of praise and the competition has shown a real talent for storytelling in the Law School which is fantastic to see.
果冻传媒 Law student awarded Freshfields Stephen Lawrence Scholarship
Second year 果冻传媒 law student Joshua Siriboe has been awarded the 2020 Freshfields Stephen Lawrence Scholarship. The Scheme was devised to address the disproportionate under-representation of black men from less privileged backgrounds in large commercial law firms and the City of London.

Fair Chance Foundation Project Receives Impact Acceleration Account Funding
The Fair Chance Foundation Project has been awarded over 拢42,000 of Economic and Social Research Council Impact Acceleration Account funding in order to complete a more in-depth impact phase.
