The ¹û¶³´«Ã½ has further cemented its position as one of the UK’s best universities - after being shortlisted for University of the Year by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025.

¹û¶³´«Ã½ Law School’s Professor Shaheen Ali has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate (Doctor Honoris Causa) from the University of Oslo which she received during a graduation ceremony held at the University on 2 September this year.

The ¹û¶³´«Ã½ has been named a finalist for a prestigious award. Dr Ali Struthers’ School Tasking scheme has been shortlisted for ‘Widening Participation or Outreach Initiative of the Year’ at the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards.

Congratulations to ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Law School’s Professor Ana Aliverti, who has recently been appointed as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences.

The Academy’s Fellowship welcomes 45 new leading social scientists this autumn. All elected for their excellence in their fields and substantial contributions to social science for public interest.

We are delighted to share that Professor Jane Bryan has been honoured in the 2024 National Teaching Fellowships, announced by Advance HE, for her exceptional contributions to enhancing student learning experiences.

A research team led by Professor Celine Tan from ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Law School has secured an award from the to investigate the financing of just energy transitions in developing countries.

We are delighted to announce that Emma Austin has been awarded the prestigious ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Awards for Teaching Excellence (WATE): Social Science Faculty Award for 2024.

We are delighted to share that Professor Sharifah Sekalala has won the Feminist Legal Studies Editor's Article Prize 2024 for her joint research on the gendered impact of the failures of medical supply chains during Covid-19.

We are thrilled to share that Dr Hyo Yoon Kang, Reader/Associate Professor at ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Law School has been awarded the British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship for the next academic year.
