In the build-up to the 15th EU-China Summit (held in Brussels on 20 September 2012), the Europe China Research and Advice Network (ECRAN) hosted an event at Chatham House in London (17 September) on the theme of 'The EU and China: The Balance Sheet'. The event saw key EU officials and leading experts, including PAIS's Prof Shaun Breslin, look at the current status of the EU-China relationship and assess how it has developed over the last decade, what the historic legacy of Wen Jiabao is likely to be, and what the current core issues are as both Europe and China undergo major challenges – economic for the former and leadership transition for the latter.

For 2^nd and 3^rd Year Students seminars will become available for you to sign up to on MyPaIS at approximately 11AM on Friday 28^th September.

For 1^st Year Students seminars will become available for you to sign up to on MyPaIS at approximately 11AM on Monday 1^st October.

PaIS Undergraduate Seminar Registration Instructions

In your first year your CORE modules will be Introduction to Politics, World Politics and Introduction to Research Methods. In addition to this you will need to choose one OUTSIDE OPTION from another department to make up your 120 CATS of study for your first year.

Prof Trevor McCrisken was recently interviewed by International Affairs' editor Caroline Soper on Obama ending the war in Afghanistan, and the other articles in Volume 88, Number 5.
