Background of Speaker:
Steve Smith is a British entrepreneur, investor, and business leader best known as the founder of Poundland, one of the UK's most successful discount retail chains. He launched the first Poundland store in December 1990 with a simple but disruptive proposition: offering products at a single 拢1 price point. The concept transformed value retailing in the UK and helped create what became a multi-billion-pound market sector.
After establishing Poundland and leading its growth during its early years, Steve moved into a broad range of business ventures spanning financial services, property, technology, software, and artificial intelligence. According to his LinkedIn profile, he continues to describe himself as someone "looking for the next billion-pound business.
