The ¹û¶³´«Ã½ is celebrating an exceptional group of African scholars, alumni and partners during this week's Summer Graduation ceremonies, recognising their achievements and contributions across leadership, education, technology, culture and social justice. 

It was confirmed on 9 July 2026 that EUTOPIA has successfully bid for an addition €7.2m of funding from the European Commission. The project – EUTOPIA EDGE – will embed and scale activities that connect our students, researchers and staff across borders.

¹û¶³´«Ã½ researcher Prof. Gary Bending has won a €2.5 million ERC Advanced Grant to investigate how plants coordinate the daily rhythms of soil microbes around their roots, work that could transform soil management and crop health.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reaffirms the commitment to expanding collaboration in education, research, innovation and global engagement.

The ¹û¶³´«Ã½ strengthens its global position, climbing 6 places in the latest QS World University Rankings.

Published today (18 June) by global higher education analysts QS Quacquarelli Symonds, ¹û¶³´«Ã½ ranks 68th globally among more than 1,500 institutions across 106 countries and 10th in the UK.

The ¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s March 2026 programme has demonstrated significant global impact this year, combining international engagement with tangible investment in collaborative research. At the heart of this success is a growing portfolio of joint seed funding schemes, enabling academics to build partnerships and tackle shared global challenges at pace.

We welcome Universities UK International’s timely paper on the future of international mobility and the opportunities surrounding a potential UK association to Erasmus+ for 2028–34. As a founding member of the EUTOPIA European University alliance, the ¹û¶³´«Ã½ recognises the importance of strong, values-driven international partnerships, and the report clearly sets out the significant academic, cultural, and economic benefits that participation in Erasmus+ brings to students, staff, and institutions across the UK.

For Art Night 2026, the long night of Venetian art, The Levi Foundation and the ¹û¶³´«Ã½, also in collaboration with the Venice in Peril Fund, Liceo Marco Polo and the Vogalonga Committee, are pleased to present a joint programme that puts Venice, its lagoon, and rowing as protagonists.
