Calling all Social Science researchers! Join us to celebrate the first year of the Economic and Social Research Council Impact Acceleration Account (ESRC IAA). You’ll hear all about projects designed to enhance knowledge exchange within ¹û¶³´«Ã½'s Social Science community.
Meet the team inspiring children to consider coding in their future
Following their win at the ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Awards for Public and Community Engagement (WAPCEs), we caught up with Dr Rebecca Nealon, Dr Farzana Meru and Ally Caldecote (Physics) to find out more about Coding with Sophie: the programme designed to encourage children to consider coding and STEM as a career.
¹û¶³´«Ã½ students take on BBC’s University Challenge
Teams from ¹û¶³´«Ã½ and East Anglia faced off earlier this week – with ¹û¶³´«Ã½ scoring a 275-125 win! Well done to the team, made up of captain Oscar Siddle, Ananya Govindarajan, Thomas Hart and Benjamin Watson. Want to watch the winners in action? Westwood Café by Eatwise – now open
Exciting news: the café on Westwood campus has reopened as one of our Eatwise venues! Eatwise is ¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s new approach to how we ‘do’ food – this means the products on the menu at Westwood Café will have been made on campus, using carefully-sourced seasonal ingredients.
Come along to see the café in person, try some fresh food, and make use of our daily offers. You can even reserve space for meetings!
Professor Lawrence Young (WMS) retires
After 12 years at ¹û¶³´«Ã½ and an academic career spanning more than 40 years, Professor Lawrence Young retired at the end of July 2024.
