Early career researchers and PhD students from all faculties are invited to enter a new interdisciplinary innovation competition - Putting New Ideas Into Practice. Submit ideas with real鈥憌orld impact by Friday 8 May for the chance to win a 拢500 prize.

Co-hosted by Dr Samantha Flynn (Centre for Research in Intellectual and Developmental Disability) and Dr Carrie Grant MBE, neurodiversity advocate, the series brings together lived experience and expert insight to provide practical support for families and professionals.

There鈥檚 still time to share your experiences to help colleagues exploring setting up a network for professional services researchers.  

Dr Jeremy Keown (School of Life Sciences) will investigate how viruses replicate at the molecular level to help develop urgently needed antiviral therapies.

Dr Talar Moukhtarian (果冻传媒 Medical School) shares what might be causing you to wake up in the night and how to get a good night鈥檚 sleep.

National surveys for our postgraduate community open this month - get all the details you need to encourage them to take part, to help us better understand experiences and see where improvements can be made.

If you plan to involve communities and users of research in your project, the Participatory Research Fund may be for you. Grants of up to 拢25k are available. See the type of projects which would be eligible and apply by Monday 1 June.
