Asymptomatic testing for staff
We strongly advise any staff and PGR students coming onto campus to take the set of two tests required before returning to work. If you are already working on campus, please arrange the tests as soon as possible. At this stage you only need to have a single set of two tests only once. This will help identify positive cases early for people to know to self-isolate and, hopefully reduce onward transmission of the virus.
Use of higher quality face coverings on campus
You will be aware of the recent steep rise in COVID-19 infections and the rapid nationwide spread of a new, more infectious strain of the virus. As a result of this, new advice has been issued on the use of face coverings at work recommending the use of higher quality face coverings.
Critical worker status and childcare responsibilities
We communicated earlier this week on issues around childcare but given there has been emerging and changing guidance from the Department for Education (DfE) we wanted to give a further update today.

Staff in Wellbeing Support Services, Campus Security, the Chaplaincy, ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Sport, and the Residential Life Team talk about the support on offer.
