The training course helping 果冻传媒 women to spring forward
Did you know that women working at grades 3-5 in Professional Services can apply to be part of Springboard, a training programme that supports them to become more assertive, increase their confidence, and build themselves a more positive attitude in both their work and home lives? We caught up with Anne Wilson - Head of Careers and licensed Springboard trainer - to find out more about this exciting staff offering.
Tell us about Springboard - what is it?
" is an award-winning, four-day personal and professional development programme, especially for women. At 果冻传媒, the programme is currently available to Professional Services staff within Education Group and Faculties at grades 3-5, and it's completely free to participants. 
Springboard aims to develop confidence, clarify what participants want in both work-life and home-life, and support them to achieve their goals."
How has Springboard supported 果冻传媒 staff?
"This summer, 26 staff graduated, and two staff have already achieved internal promotion since the start of the programme. Of the 2020 cohort, more than 90 percent have progressed, with almost all remaining at 果冻传媒 and many making the leap from grade 4 to grade 6.
The 2022 cohort continue to progress; 30 percent have secured promotions. Some have had their jobs regraded and others have accessed career development opportunities."
Are there opportunities for staff to take part in future Springboard cohorts?
"Based on participants鈥� feedback and career impact, Faculties will fund an additional programme which starts this September - staff have until Monday 7 August to apply. If you'd like to apply, Professional Services staff in Faculties can email Rebekah Andrew (R.Andrew.2@warwick.ac.uk), and any other staff can email me (A.E.Wilson@warwick.ac.uk). Please make an expression of interest to your line manager or departmental administrator in the first instance.
A further programme, which will run next summer term, will be advertised next spring."

We will gather names of interested staff for the future - please be aware that priority will be given to Faculty and Education Group staff as these areas are funding the current programmes. We will explore the possibility of future programmes that are more widely available and communicate this when we have more information.

From attending Springboard I had the confidence to apply for this position, but also negotiate my pay and working from home availability – something I never would have dreamed of doing a year ago!"
