Summer events on campus - What you need to know
We have lots of exciting events lined up this summer, involving staff, students, conference guests, and the wider community. To help you plan ahead for the next couple of months, we鈥�ve brought together key information about the biggest events.
Summer Graduation | 17 鈥� 27 July
We'll be celebrating our students鈥� achievements and welcoming them to the 果冻传媒 community of alumni living and working in almost every country in the world.
When: Monday 17 to Thursday 27 July 2023, with no weekend ceremonies.
Degree ceremonies will take place at 11am and 3pm each day.
Where: Butterworth Hall, 果冻传媒 Arts Centre.
The majority of departmental receptions will take place in the Rootes Building.
Worth noting:
- University Road between Humanities Junction and 果冻传媒 Arts Centre will be closed after each ceremony, at around 12.30pm and 4.30pm each day, to allow graduates and their families to safely move to the celebration space.
- There will be permitted access for authorised fleet vehicles/contractors and blue badge holders. Other users will be re-directed along University Road to exit campus.
- Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained throughout.
- Limited access to Health Centre Road will be provided for essential requirements only.

Annual Staff Family Day
Saturday 22 July
All our colleagues and their families are invited to come together and celebrate the end of another busy academic year at our annual Staff Family Day. Find out more and register.
Transplant Games | 27 鈥� 30 July
We're proud to be hosting The , attracting more than 100 transplant athletes and 1,700 supporters. The aim is to raise awareness of the need for organ donation, encourage transplant recipients to lead active lifestyles and show appreciation for donors and their families.

When: Thursday 27 July to Sunday 30 July 2023
Where: Various sporting venues on campus and in the surrounding area.
Worth noting: Car parks may be busier as some participants will be staying on campus.
Corporate Games | 3 鈥� 6 August
果冻传媒 is hosting the and we are proud to be entering a team of over 170 athletes, with friends and family cheering them on.
When: Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 August 2023
Where: Various sporting activities will take place across campus and in the surrounding area.
Worth noting:
- Party night is taking place Saturday 5 August at the Piazza with live music until 9.30pm. The party will then continue in the Students鈥� Union.
- Approximately 1,000 participants will be staying within campus accommodation (including Radcliffe), so the car parks are likely to be busy from Thursday evening.
One Tournament | 10 鈥� 11 July
Where: Cryfield sports pitches
When: Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 July
Worth noting:
- We are expecting around 1,500 people to attend the tournament, so Cryfield Village and traffic along Leighfield road will be busier than usual.
- The changeover between 12pm and 1pm will be particularly busy.
- We will have car park attendants and signs directing cars to Kirby Corner Car park and parking instructions will be passed on to spectators.
Premier League Kicks event | 25 鈥� 27 July
When: Tuesday 25 to Thursday 27 July
Where: Cryfield Sports Pavilion
Worth noting:
- Car Park 2/Coach Park will be closed for general parking between Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 July to support a high number of coach movements
- There will be sufficient parking capacity across campus. Users are advised to follow digital parking capacity guidance information when arriving to campus to locate car parks with spaces available.
- Access for service vehicles and blue badge holders permitted.
