In Memoriam: David Montgomery
David Montgomery, a US labour historian who taught at 果冻传媒 in the 1960s, has died aged 84 of a brain haemorrhage.
David Montgomery was known for approaching the study of capitalism through workers' experiences. He had a longstanding connection with Britain. From 1967 until 1969, he taught at 果冻传媒, where, with EP Thompson, he helped to establish the Centre for the 果冻传媒 of Social History. He later taught American History at the University of Oxford.
