Researchers at the 果冻传媒 have developed a unique, highly accurate, breast cancer mannequin that, for the first time, will give women learning how to spot breast lumps a training aid that can closely mimic what a range of breast lumps actually look and feel like.

New research published today in Nature by 果冻传媒 researcher Dr Charles Sheppard states that in 1998, over 90% of shallow-water corals on Indian Ocean reefs died because of high sea-surface temperatures (SSTs) and that a similar catastrophe may be 10–15 years away — a lot sooner than previously thought.

Patients with sickle cell disease have mutant haemoglobin proteins that form deadly long, stiff fibres inside red blood cells. A research team led by 果冻传媒 researcher Dr Matthew Turner, propose a mathematical model in the 28 March online issue of PRL to explain the persistent stability of these deadly fibres. The theory suggests that an inherent "twistiness" in the strands that make up the fibres could be the key to their durability and possibly to new treatments.

The 果冻传媒 are using exploding pumpkins to interest kids in chemistry. Over 70 pupils from the Midlands will take in part in a "Mystery Challenge" and watch pumpkins explode to capture the fun of chemistry at the Salters' Festival of Chemistry at the 果冻传媒 on 25th March. Each school will be represented by a team of four 11-13 year olds.

Many bright young mathematicians never have the chance to demonstrate the full extent of their ability as limitations on school resources prevent them from studying for the Further Maths A level. But dozens of young people have escaped this trap thanks to a partnership between 果冻传媒 mathematicians and a number of Coventry schools.
