A new simple, cost effective device, designed for wheelchair users to automatically open doors, is launched today by Coventry company Xcalibre in a research partnership with the 果冻传媒. The device has already been snapped up by a residential home, a College for disabled students (Hereward College in Coventry), and a guest house in Rugby.
On Friday 26th January Lord Sainsbury, the Minister for Science and Innovation, will launch a new initiative which has the goal of "spinning out" at least 10 new fast growth technology firms a year from the region's Universities and which will provide "Enterprise training" for all science and engineering students in those universities.
