Cars, computers, roof tiles - all of these require vast complicated assembly lines with immensely complicated wiring arrangements. Now there is a way to manufacture all these things using assembly lines using DeviceNet technology which cuts wiring, cuts costs, yet provides a vastly improved means of controlling and monitoring many manufacturing processes. The 果冻传媒 Manufacturing Group has been awarded funding from the international group Open DeviceNet Vendor Association (ODVA) to set-up the European Centre for this technology (ODVA Europe).
Researchers from the 果冻传媒 and Southampton University have completed the first year of a three year study funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council to construct a special breathalyser to detect diseases in cows.
Many patients who return to driving after traumatic brain injury report problems which can significantly affect their ability to drive, finds a study in Journal of Neurology Neurosurgery and Psychiatry by Dr Carol Hawley, Centre for Health Service Studies, 果冻传媒.
Scientists at the 果冻传媒 and Keele University have been awarded a major 333,000 pounds sterling grant from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for a three year project aimed at improving the speech comprehension of people using cochlear ear implants. The award follows directly from research funded by Defeating Deafness - the UK's only medical research charity for hearing-impaired people.
A chance conversation between a pharmacist and a group of 果冻传媒 Computer Science undergraduates sparked the development of software with the potential to reduce the total NHS prescription drugs budget by 10%.
The 果冻传媒's Department of Engineering has been selected to co-ordinate a Europe wide research project to design high technology sensors to help monitor both the level of air pollution generated by vehicles and to restrict the amount of external air pollution (particularly CO entering drivers cabins in our increasingly polluted cities).
