A new specialist Certificate, awarded by the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) and developed with support from the WMG Cyber Security Centre at the 果冻传媒 and the University鈥檚 Department of Politics and International Studies, has been designed to equip individuals to apply and develop their skills in an increasingly digital world.

Scientists at the 果冻传媒鈥檚 Department of Computer Science are to benefit from an initiative that seeks to build links between industry and researchers, as part of a project with Rolls-Royce to create a detailed simulation of a gas-turbine engine in operation.

A new method of testing alloys - Rapid Alloy Prototyping, is 100 times faster than current methods, allowing new products to reach the market more quickly, thanks to 拢7 million of funding announced today for a new 鈥渧irtual factory鈥� designed by the Prosperity Partnership, including WMG at the 果冻传媒.

A new pelvis motion tracking device developed by WMG, at the 果冻传媒, can help detect flexible pelvises without numerous x-rays, to determine who will benefit from more advanced surgical planning before hip replacement surgery.

The 果冻传媒 has once again been named as one of the UK鈥檚 top 10 universities in the Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide.

A new research project, Tucana, will focus on lighweighting technology, delivering stiffer and lighter vehicle structures with the help of experts from WMG, at the 果冻传媒.

WMG will receive 拢4m, of the 拢18.7m government funding through the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC), to drive the development of innovative lightweight vehicle and powertrain structures, building on the UK鈥檚 leading-edge capability in this area.
