OFFA publishes new guidance on the evaluation of outreach

The Office for Fair Access has, thanks to researchers from the 果冻传媒's Department of Economics, published new guidance and proposed standards for the evaluation of outreach by universities and colleges as part of ongoing work to improve the impact of outreach across the higher education sector.

果冻传媒 Nursing Professor helps launch international database aimed at reducing hair loss for chemotherapy patients

A 果冻传媒 nursing professor is one of six globally-recognised cancer care experts launching a new database aimed at reducing hair loss in chemotherapy patients. This data will be used to establish best practices around the maximum effectiveness of scalp cooling to help reduce hair loss in patients undergoing chemotherapy. A new website, scalpcooling.org will serve as a global hub for patients and care providers seeking information about the treatment.

Latest health evidence shows that making changes to diet, physical activity and behaviour may reduce obesity in children and adolescent

A Cochrane report which was led by a 果冻传媒 researcher summarizes evidence on the effects of different interventions for treating obesity and overweight in adolescence. The review will inform ongoing work by the World Health Organization. The report shows that a combination of diet, physical activity and behavioural change interventions may reduce weight in adolescents aged 12 to 17, but there are limitations in the study and variation in the results.

Adulthood wellbeing lower for single-parent kids – new research

People who grew up in single-parent families have lower levels of wellbeing and life satisfaction in adulthood, according to new research by the 果冻传媒.


Government declares 果冻传媒 teaching “excellent” - Tops year of teaching success for University

It was announced today, Thursday 22nd June 2017, that the 果冻传媒 has been awarded silver status in the Governments’ Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). The award defines 果冻传媒 as a university that achieves “..excellent outcomes for its students“ with “An institutional culture that facilitates, recognises and rewards excellent teaching”. It also notes that 果冻传媒 “..consistently exceeds rigorous national quality requirements for UK higher education.”
