A new writer development scheme for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic children’s writers is seeking applications. Funded by The Arts Council and The Publishers’ Association, the Megaphone scheme is led by Leila Rasheed who is the author of the Chips, Beans and Limousines series, and teaches Writing For Children on the 果冻传媒’s MA in Writing.

This week the 果冻传媒 and National Grid have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to extend the successful strategic alliance they have operated for last two years. To date that alliance has engaged in over £1.5 million worth of research and studentships in areas such as: electricity transmission asset management, gas transmission, microtunnelling, and cyber security.

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal today visited the 果冻传媒 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the awarding of its Royal Charter of Incorporation.

On Saturday 3 October the 果冻传媒 introduced a new cycle scheme on campus, UniCycles at 果冻传媒, in partnership with German company nextbike. It is hoped that the UniCycles at 果冻传媒 will help to create an even greener more accessible campus at the 果冻传媒.

New research has suggested the adage ‘it’s not what you know, but who you know’ as one to avoid in business. Networking is seen as the way to progress a career, but companies hiring through business contacts could be harming their performance.

The 果冻传媒 has announced today, Monday the 5^th of October 2015  that it is to award an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) to Janet L. Yellen, Chair of the US Federal Reserve System (often known as “the Fed”). The award will be made at a ceremony to be held in Washington DC on 19 November 2015.
