The WMG Academy for Young Engineers in Coventry has received a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) on loan from WMG, at the 果冻传媒. The machine will assist young engineers with verification and measurement when producing parts, ensuring they are trained in the most efficient industrial processes and with the same equipment used by world leading manufacturing companies.

The 果冻传媒 will be hosting the British Chess Championships which take place from Saturday 25^th July to Saturday 8^th August. This is the second time that the University has hosted the championships, the first occasion having been back in 1970.

Acclaimed Indonesian author Andrea Hirata has been awarded with an Honorary Doctorate by the 果冻传媒.

Tony Wheeler, co-founder of the Lonely Planet guides has been awarded an Honourary Doctor of Letters (DLitt) by the 果冻传媒 and our partner Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

The very first Masters student graduated, on Tuesday 14th July, at the 果冻传媒 from a technology programme which trains staff from across Jaguar Land Rover. From the shop floor to senior managers, and from all disciplines, the Technical Accreditation Scheme (TAS) is designed to develop employees skills to help create the next generation of vehicles and staff across Jaguar Land Rover have now completed over 200,000 hours of study in the new programme.
