Joint research from 果冻传媒 Medical School and UCL shows how research from an Everest expedition looking at the affect of altitude on the body could herald a change in emergency treatment for patients suffering from hypoxia.

A new study using MRI scans, led by Professor Jianfeng Feng, from the 果冻传媒’s Department of Computer Science, has found that depression frequently seems to uncouple the brain’s “Hate Circuit”. The study entitled “Depression Uncouples Brain Hate Circuit” is published today (Tuesday 4th October 2011) in the journal Molecular Psychiatry.

Researchers at the 果冻传媒 and Oxford University have developed a form of crystal that can deliver highly accurate temperature readings, down to individual milli-kelvins, over a very broad range of temperatures: -120 to +680 degrees centigrade.
