Supply Chain
Supply Chain Interventions
Since 2023, the University has been running a project to embed social and environmental sustainability into deliverables within competitive procurement processes, as we mature in our approach we recognise the necessity of communicating our updating expectations with our supply chain.
Our approach has been to align to recognised standards such as ISO 20400 and the Social Value Portal's TOM System.
The project has built on the recognised legislative requirements to bring demonstrable added value to contracts.
Responsible Procurement
Internal Responsible Procurement Guidance is available to support the 果冻传媒 community to integrate responsibility and sustainability into the procurement processes of the University, while supporting the community to make climate conscious purchasing decisions. This guidance intends to ensure that all purchasing decisions consider the environmental, social, and economic impacts of our activities.
Social Value
The Social Value TOM System is the most widely adopted measurement standard in UK public procurement. 果冻传媒 utilises the Open Access TOM System to support the University in measuring the social value delivered through contracts.
As the project progresses the University will be able to estimate the Social Return on Investment for contracted works and services across four themes - Work, Economy, Community and Planet.
Quantifying Social Value gives the 果冻传媒 community insight into the social benefit that commercial decisions have, such as working with local suppliers, and / or diverse supply chains.
