On 24th January the relaunch event of the Student Green Champion Network took place to introduce new student opportunities focusing on sustainability to get involved with. During the event attendees heard from student volunteers about their experiences as well as from Katherine Mayfield, David Chapman, and Evelin Sanderson-Nichols, Sustainability Champions, and Steven Burke, Skills Coordinator, about the different ways green champions volunteering activities can be linked to the 果冻传媒 Award.

This month, we are supporting Keep Britain Tidy's January initiative . On each Tuesday throughout the month, we鈥檒l be sharing tips and tricks on how you can buy nothing new and make the most of what you already have. We will be calling on you to rethink what you want versus what you need, reconsider if you can repair versus replace and think about whether you can rent, borrow or buy second-hand rather than buy new. Look out for these on our social media channels .

Did you know that there are a couple of ponds by Claycroft residences? If you didn鈥檛, you鈥檙e not alone. In recent years vegetation has grown up and they were getting quite hidden. During November the University commissioned a specialist contractor to undertake some work to enhance the habitat for biodiversity. Find out more about this project here.
