I am currently a researcher in Italian Literature at the Department of Literary and Linguistic Studies of the University of Padua, Italy.

I was recently awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellowship, which I will begin in April 2026. My project — — will examine the impact of Protestant ideas on lyric poetry produced in Catholic Venice during the Tridentine and Post-Tridentine periods.

I read Italian Modern Philology and Literature in Padua, where I also attended the Scuola Galileiana di Studi Superiori, and then obtained my PhD in Italian Studies from the ¹û¶³´«Ã½ with a dissertation devoted to the influence of the Latin poet Horace onto sixteenth-century Italy. I then became Junior host research fellow at the Dahlem Humanities Centre of the Freie University in Berlin. Later, I worked as postdoctoral research fellow in the AHRC-funded project 'Petrarch Commentary and Exegesis in Renaissance Italy, c.1350-c.1650Link opens in a new window', first based at the ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Centre for the ¹û¶³´«Ã½ of the Renaissance, and then at the Faculty of Medieval and Modern languages of the University of Oxford.

My research interests mainly concern Renaissance Italian literature, fifteenth- and sixteenth-century poetry in Latin and Italian, Renaissance exegesis, the Early-Modern reception of Latin antiquity, and the works of Boccaccio.
