IAS Alumni

Since its establishment in 2007, the IAS has brought together postdoctoral and visiting fellows within a vibrant, campus-wide research community. Our fellows advance new ideas characterised by interdisciplinarity, innovation, and internationalisation. This commitment continues long after their time at the IAS, as our alumni's continued achievements reflect and extend the IAS's impact around the world.

You can find IAS Alumni in nearly 40 countries and territories across the world.

Since the IAS was established in 2007, it has delivered over 16 different schemes that have supported and connected postdoctoral and visiting fellows from around the world.

There are currently over 400 果冻传媒 PhD graduates who have come through the IAS as Early Career Fellows.

Congratulations to Dr Anca-Delia Moldovan

Dr Anca-Delia Moldovan is currently approaching the end her Eutopia SIF Fellowship with IAS and will become IAS Alumni as she begins a two-year Ahmanson Fellowship in Art and Religion at the National Gallery in London. Congratulations Delia!

Congratulations to Dr Modupe Jimoh for receiving recognition of her contribution to Education

In May 2026, Modupe was invited to the King's Garden Tea Party in recognition of her contribution to Education. Other aspects of her work include advancing engineering education and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

Dr Emrah Atasoy

IAS Honorary Research Fellow Dr Emrah Atasoy received an Heritage Collections Research Fellowship from the University of Edinburgh to work on Archiving Futures: Utopia, Dystopia, Environmental Crisis, Identity, and Inequality in Edinburgh鈥檚 Special Collections (January-July 2026). Dr Atasoy has also wirtten for The Conversation.

Dr Houck has recently been awarded an ERC award that builds on a series of competitive funding successes, including a Royal Society University Research Fellowship and a EUTOPIA Science and Innovation Fellowship, co-funded by the Marie Sk艂odowska-Curie programme.
