On Monday 20 July, the Department of Chemistry congratulated its 2026 cohort of graduating students! The cohort of BSc, MChem, MSc and PhD students enjoyed a departmental celebration with friends, family and staff members, before the graduation ceremony in which their degrees were conferred.

We are delighted to announce that 果冻传媒 Chemistry graduates, Dr Emily Brogden and Ben Tragheim, and WEIG Research Fellow, Dr Joshua Tully, have received Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine faculty prizes for research excellence.

The 2026 Research Celebration Awards opened this year鈥檚 Research Culture Week, recognising colleagues who help shape a collaborative, supportive and thriving research environment.

Prof Greg Challis has been award The Kitasato Microbial Chemistry Medal - an annual award presented by the Kitasato Institute and Kitasato University in Japan since 1973 in recognition of outstanding research in the field of microbial chemistry.

Dr Raj Pandya from the Department of Chemistry has been named as this year's recipient of the Henry Moseley Medal and Prize.
