Welcome to the Computer Science Education Research Group!
The Computer Science Education Research Group strengthens the Department of Computer Science by cultivating an open, collaborative community committed to evidence-based teaching practice.
We have strong connections in our community of practice, and collaborate with existing institutional frameworks such as WIHEA, URSS and IATL. We work with students to improve and enhance teaching via pedagogical-focused projects.
Our Focus Areas
The Computer Science Education Research Group investigates how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can enhance teaching and learning in computing, with a particular focus on AI for Delivery and AI for Assessment. Our work considers not only technological innovation but also inclusivity, student engagement, and wellbeing.
We welcome cross-departmental and cross-institutional collaborations, and aim to develop a vibrant community of practice around evidence-based innovation in computer science education.
