Cartesian Productions, as part of the Oxford University Drama Society National Tour, will be coming to the Zeeman Building to perform their play Noether, about the life of Emmy Noether as a Jewish German woman working at the University of Göttingen from 1920-1933. The play chronicles her remarkable life using various sources of verbatim and critically examines what it means to be a female pioneer in a male-dominated field.

The performance will be followed by a panel discussion with the playwright and female academics from the ¹û¶³´«Ã½, to discuss the themes of the play and experiences of women in mathematical sciences in the modern day. There will be light refreshments available for attendees.
