I'm Morgan, and I recently completed my PhD in the Astronomy and Astrophysics group at the 果冻传媒 under the supervision of Professor Don Pollacco.

My PhD work was made up of three main parts -

• Commissioning 果冻传媒's TWIST telescope and using it to discover and observe variability in the globular cluster Messier 3 (NGC 5272)
• Observing white dwarfs (pulsating or with transiting debris) with the 果冻传媒 1-metre (W1m) telescope
• Simulating the Kepler planet population detectable with the space telescope, due to launch in early 2027.

I led weekly physics examples classes for 25 undergraduate students as part of the module.

My responsibilities included grading assignments and delivering two weekly classes (one as lead, one as support).

The subjects studied were Classical Mechanics and Special Relativity, Physics Foundations (thermodynamics), Electromagnetism and Quantum Phenomena.
