Junxi Liu
I am a PhD student in the Department of Economics. I obtained my Bachelor's degree from Peking University in 2021. I work on political economy and innovation in both historical and contemporary settings. Using machine learning and language models, I build novel datasets and measures from unstructured archival and modern records to study the gains from empire, the diffusion of innovation, and firms' responses to external pressures.
I am on the 2026-2027 job market.
