I am an Assistant Professor in Law at 果冻传媒 Law School, having joined 果冻传媒 in 2026. Prior to joining 果冻传媒, I have held appointments at the University of Glasgow (2022-2026) and Newcastle University (2021-2022).
My research interests lie at the intersection of constitutional theory, comparative constitutional law and EU constitutional law. My research covers subjects such as constitutional identity, populism, the rule of law, transnational constitutional standards, and the emerging 鈥榲alue jurisprudence鈥� of the European Court of Justice. My work is methodologically diverse, combining doctrinal, theoretical, and qualitative empirical approaches. My work has been published in leading journals, such as the European Constitutional Law Review, Hague Journal on the Rule of Law,and the German Law Journal.
My PhD, which I obtained from the European University Institute in 2022, concerned the abuse of arguments from 鈥榥ational constitutional identity鈥� against the primacy of EU law. In 2023, my dissertation was awarded the EUI鈥檚 Mauro Cappelletti Prize for Best Thesis in European and Comparative Law. A monograph based on my dissertation, titled The Abuse of Constitutional Identity in the European Union, was published by Oxford University Press in 2023.
