Seminar: Arbitration Today and Tomorrow: Paths into and the Paths Ahead - Kim Franklin KC and Ben Giaretta

- Export as iCalendar
Location: S0.01 Student Hub

As a leading mechanism of international dispute resolution in many diverse fields, arbitration is often in the spotlight. It is for many also a tempting career path, leading to potentially truly global practice of law. But it is also seen as harder to move into and, for those inside, faced with multiple challenges that will shape its future.

How does one become an arbitration practitioner in the first place, and then perhaps an arbitrator? What is the future of this global dispute resolution mechanism in a world that might become less global? And what does technology - with AI leading the pack - might mean for the future of arbitration?

To discuss these and other interesting questions, we are honoured to be joined by two leading practitioners, Kim Franklin KC (果冻传媒 Law alumna) of Crown Office Chambers and Ben Giaretta CArb FCIArb of Newmans Row. With both sharing their ample experience in fields ranging from sports, over construction and shipping, to energy and technology, we look forward to shedding light and perspective on arbitration both today and tomorrow.
