Talk to experts about the 果冻传媒鈥檚 cancer research

Cancer research labPeople from across the region are being invited to spend the evening in conversation with some the 果冻传媒鈥檚 cancer research team next week (Tuesday 30 January).

The Cancer Research Centre Ideas Caf茅 aims to create a relaxed environment in which experts can tell members of the public about the latest research being carried out at 果冻传媒. There will also be time for discussion about cancer, with the aim of listening to the views and ideas from the public and informing future research.

Professor Annie Young, from 果冻传媒鈥檚 Cancer Research Centre, said: 鈥淲e鈥檙e looking forward to seeing members of our local community and to have some good discussion about how cancer is being tackled and treated and how it affects our lives. Thoughts, ideas and questions from the public will help impact our research.鈥

On the evening there will be five minute presentations from five cancer researchers and experts from the 果冻传媒. Afterwards there will be round-table discussion where guests will talk in detail with each of these researchers about their work. The Ideas Caf茅 will takes place on Tuesday 30 January 2018, from 6.30pm until 9pm at The Oculus, on the 果冻传媒鈥檚 main campus.

Parking and light refreshments will be provided. This event is free of charge.
