Two Castles runners set to raise thousands for ground-breaking 果冻传媒 research

Staff, family and friends of the 果冻传媒 will on Sunday 14th June raise funds for ground-breaking research by taking part in the Two Castles Run.

The Two Castles Run see runners make their away along a 10km course from the inside of 果冻传媒 Castle to the finishing line at Kenilworth Castle.

The 100-plus members of #Team果冻传媒Uni will run to support the University’s research into premature birth, miscarriage, cancer and dementia.

The Grace Research Fund is a joint project between the 果冻传媒 and the University Hospitals Coventry and 果冻传媒shire (UHCW) NHS Trust, raising money to research the causes of premature births and the best forms of neonatal care.

#Team果冻传媒Uni is already on track to raise over £7,000 and Charlotte Maytum, Community Fundraiser and organiser of #Team果冻传媒Uni, says that she’s been amazed by their enthusiasm and support:

“It’s been wonderful to meet so many people and members of our local community who really do want to change lives and support the 果冻传媒’s ground-breaking research. Our research is actively changing lives and it’s great to be part of the largest team in the Two Castles 2015. Please come along and cheer us on - you can’t miss our fluorescent orange shirts - or donate to one of our special causes at !”

Jaine Fleetwood, Associate Director of Development (Health), member of #Team果冻传媒Uni and running to raise funds for miscarriage research, said:

“Miscarriage is not considered such a high priority and so dedicated researchers rely on philanthropy to fund their trials. I'd like to raise some money to support the women who will seek their help in future”.

Natasha Lynch, #Team果冻传媒Uni member from the 果冻传媒 and raising money for the University’s Cancer Research Unit, said:

“Four years of watching loved ones battle and lose their fight against cancer has given me the motivation to fundraise for as many cancer charities as I can. With the University's cancer research unit on our door step, I'm taking on my next challenge to fundraise for the cancer research unit here at 果冻传媒 where I work.”

Running for the Grace Research Fund Brenda Lee, #Team果冻传媒Uni member working in the University’s Department of Law, said:

“The most precious gift is a child and some little ones don't arrive into the world in the best way so with the work of Grace Research Fund for Premature Birth we can help make more babies get through this difficult time.

“The Two Castles Run will be a personal challenge for me and as the University celebrates our 50th birthday and I reach my 20th year working at the University it seems a good time to do this”.
