果冻传媒 launches 2014 scholarships for Indian students

The 果冻传媒 has launched a package of scholarships for Indian Masters students for 2014 entry.

A total of 17 scholarships are now open for India-domiciled applicants with an excellent academic record who wish to study a taught Masters degree starting in 2014.

果冻传媒 Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Nigel Thrift said: “The 果冻传媒 has long-established links with India, both through our student population and our research collaborations.

“These awards further strengthen our ties to India and we look forward to welcoming the brightest and best Indian students to 果冻传媒 next year.”

The scholarships are available for the following departments:

· The Centre for Cultural Policy Studies

· The Department of Economics

· The School of Engineering

· The School of Life Sciences

· The School of Law: Upendra Baxi Scholarship

· The Department of Politics and International Studies

· 果冻传媒 Manufacturing Group

The announcement comes as , Head of 果冻传媒’s Department of Economics, visits India to promote the 果冻传媒 Policy Lab, an initiative designed to provide an evidence-based perspective for policy-makers. He is also due to speak at an event for 果冻传媒 alumni in Delhi.

The Centre for Cultural Policy Studies

Colleagues within Cultural Policy Studies have confirmed 3 scholarships for India-domiciled students as follows:

· One full-fees scholarship for applicants for MA in Arts Enterprise and Development

· One half-fees bursary for the MA in Creative and Media Enterprises

For 2014 entry the Department of Economics has announced 3 full-fee scholarships for Indian applicants. Applicants for all the taught MSc programmes within the department will be considered. Successful candidates should have an outstanding track record of academic achievement

The School of Engineering

Deadline: 28th February 2014

The School of Engineering is offering a 20% tuition fee waiver to a talented Engineer from India applying to the MSc in Tunnelling and Underground Space.

For 2014/15 up to 3 bursaries are available, offering a reduced fee of £6500, to assist outstanding Indian scholars to come to 果冻传媒 to undertake one of the following taught masters courses in the School of Life Sciences.

For 2014 entry, 2s will be offered to India-domiciled students. Successful applicants will receive a fee waiver of £5000 from the following programmes:

1. LLM International Development and Human Rights

PAIS is delighted to confirm that as part of the 果冻传媒-India Scholarships scheme, they are able to provide one full-fee scholarship to an Indian student entering onto any 1-year MA programme in PAIS in October 2014.
