¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift has been awarded a knighthood in the New Year’s Honours List for 2015. On the publication of this news Professor Thrift said:

“This honour is a wonderful way of helping to mark the very first day of the ¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s 50th anniversary year. To me the award recognises the numerous successes that we have all achieved together over the last ten years. I want to thank all those – staff, students, alumni, and our supporters and donors - who have played their part in ¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s many attainments.“
