ECRN Co-chairs
Dr Yanyan Li (FHEA) holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics and a Postgraduate Award in Interdisciplinary Education (Distinction) from the 果冻传媒. She completed an MA in Applied Linguistics (Distinction) at University College London. Beyond co-chairing the ECR Network at the Society & Culture Interdisciplinary Spotlight, she also serves as the Institutional Representative for 果冻传媒 in the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network. Her research interests span human-AI interaction, AI in education, and public and mental health.

Ilaria Ravazzolo is a PhD candidate in Global Sustainable Development. Her research investigates the experiences of belonging and identity among Italian mothers in their everyday food labour. She takes an interdisciplinary, gastrofeminist approach to emphasise the importance of valuing everyday experiences and embodied knowledge. Aside from co-chairing the ECR Network in the Society & Culture Spotlight, she is also an editor for Women鈥檚 History Today and a blogger for PhD Life Blog for 果冻传媒's Doctoral College.

Aishah Ibrahim
Aishah Ibrahim is a PhD candidate in Public Health. Her research explores the pandemic experiences of women informal workers and their perspectives on pandemic preparedness to help address health inequalities and strengthen community resilience.

Usoro is a PhD student at 果冻传媒 Medical School. His research is centred on the mental health of young people, with a strong focus on patient and public involvement. His work focuses on evidence synthesis, the creation of effective mental health interventions, and the development of policies that make a meaningful impact.

Phyo Wai Tun is a PhD candidate in English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics. His doctoral project, 鈥淲orking-well鈥� pedagogy in conflict-affected contexts, explores how teachers and learners co-construct condition-responsive teaching practices in situations of conflict and disruption. His research interests include teaching in conflict-affected settings, teacher education and professional development, context-appropriate pedagogy, and participatory and practitioner-led research. He is also interested in the ethical and critical use of AI in education, particularly as a partner for reflection and thinking in teacher learning and professional development.

Commitment is expected to be max. 1 hour/week during term time, organising events you feel useful as an ECR for ECRs, with admin and modest funding support!
We do hope for consistency and a level of commitment in this role in organising peer-led initiatives to develop ECRs and the ECR community, so please consider whether you could continue for at least the next 12 months before you sign up. We especially encourage first-year and second-year PhD students to join the ECR leadership team.
