What is our QS ranking based on?

QS rankings assess universities worldwide and are influential in shaping perceptions of academic institutions. As competition between leading global institutions continues to grow, reputation plays a critical role in maintaining and improving our position.

Together, Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Citations per Faculty and Sustainability make up 70 per cent of the total weighting.

  • Academic Reputation Survey 鈥 capturing the views of academics on the world's leading institutions for research and teaching.
  • Employer Reputation Survey 鈥 capturing employer perspectives on the universities producing the most capable and impactful graduates.
  • Citations 鈥 measuring citations per faculty (member of academic staff) to reflect the importance of academic publications.
  • Sustainability 鈥 reflecting the core strategic role this plays in institutional operations, education, and global research.
